behind Partly Whimsical

ABOUT

Partly Whimsical was born out of a deeply personal journey of love, loss and resilience. After the loss of my daughter to suicide in 2019 and as the 2020 pandemic unfolded, I was faced with the internal challenge of depression.  Amid this pain, I found hope in my work as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), supporting children on the autism spectrum. These incredible children reminded me that challenges are easier to overcome when solutions are within reach.

While working with families, I noticed a common theme; children thrived in clinic settings but often struggled at home. Parents shared their frustrations feeling unsure of how to adapt their environments to support their children’s unique needs. This inspired me to ask: What if I could help bridge this gap?  It was then then that Partly Whimsical was born! A transitional space tailored to the unique needs of children with autism, empowering them to succeed while equipping families with tools to support them. It’s my way of honoring my daughter’s memory and supporting families with creating brighter futures.

The vision is clear: We envision a world where every child with autism thrives in environments that celebrate individuality and foster growth.

Mission:
To transform conventional spaces into autism-friendly environments that are thoughtfully tailored to support the unique sensory needs of individuals on the autism spectrum through the creation of spaces that truly understands them.

Purpose:

To change traditional spaces into unique environments that continuously support children with autism, creating spaces that honor their individuality and help them thrive without limitations.
